WThis is a home-style take on a drink from a new drinks list. This is a batch premix which is loaded with tastes associated with holiday season, which makes it excellent for a holiday party. Save the extra citrus syrup you can use for morning drinks, puddings, or to make more rounds of this cocktail.

Yields 10 servings
To make the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (makes 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Instructions
To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Place the listed components in a pan, heat until it reaches a light boil, agitating so the sugar melts. After that, remove from the burner and leave to reach room temperature completely. Transfer into a sealable bottle, close it and store chilled, it will last for around a month.
For the Batch Mix: Pour all the liquid ingredients into a big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then strain best through a fine cloth, so it's perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of your cocktail base to a mixing glass filled with ice, and agitate gently for one minute to cool it down. Filter to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, top with the cranberries and complete it with a brief mist of mandarin oil over the drink.
